The wonderful Cinque Terre is a Mediterranean storybook landscape with lush vegetation, rolling hills, and a lively atmosphere of friendly locals who always out and about. The villages are really a modern marvel, with gigantic stone architecture that is said to be on-par with the scale of China’s Great Wall.

Wherever you go, there is plenty of things to see and do, in-town, around town, and out to sea. American tourists mention these hotspots the most, when visiting the great Cinque Terre.

If you want to have a very different taste of Italy, you have to be at Cinque Terre. It’s a very breathtaking town situated in the outskirts of the country. It’s a collection of the most magical surroundings and the prettiest beach.

Cinque Terre is Italy in its finest, purest form. But the even better news is that, a traveler can enjoy a piece of it even on a budget. Here’s the seven things that you have to know if you are looking for a cheap vacation in Cinque Terre.

Cinque Terre is a very beautiful yet isolated town in Italy which name means five villages when translated in the English language. For a lot of travelers, Cinque Terre is the perfect place – it is a collection of the finest Italian towns where you can enjoy Italy minus the commercialism and urbanization.

Cinque Terre is composed of the smaller villages of Monterosso al Mare, Corniglia, Manarola, Vernazza, and Riomaggoire. When you come here, you’ll feel very detached from the real world – but in a comforting kind of way.

And if you do come to Cinque Terre, here are the top three must eat foods that you should never miss.

Lost in Liguria!

Posted by on in Liguria/Italian Riviera

liguria

I love travelling abroad and I fancied a holiday in one of those quaint parts of Italy. After approaching Travel Republic, I settled on Liguria – a narrow strip of land bordered by the Alps, the sea, France, and Tuscany. It is one of Italy’s top destinations according to the travelling guide I consulted and there is no shortage of resorts, restaurants, shopping and lovely towns and villages. So I set about getting lost in Liguria.

Cervo

Cervo is one of the most beautiful towns in the region. It lies in the region of Liguria and offers an enchanting medieval atmosphere. The town has a rich history, having passed through a number of state departments and dominated by various dynasties. It has gone from being a Roman Empire to a Sardinian Kingdom before the unification of Italy and today, it is a lovely holiday town enveloped by green hills and calm seas. CNMN8TYWYSDF

Loads of Fun in Liguria, Italy

Have you ever fancied an exotic trip to one of Italy’s top destinations? I certainly have and after doing some research through Travel Republic, I chose to head off to sunny Liguria! Think rows of vineyards, palm-shaded beaches, stone villages steeped in sunshine and some incredibly delicious cooking traditions.

There’s something for everyone who wants to travel abroad to Liguria – a rainbow-shaped region that arcs all the way from Tuscany to the French Riviera. Genoa, its maritime capital, boasts of medieval passageways complete with mesmerizing walking paths that wind past traditional fishing villages that seem to tumble into vine-terraced cliffs and into the ocean. And if you’re a marine-life lover you will not be disappointed when you delve below the waters on exploration.
