Cinque Terre Card

Once inside the Cinque Terre national park and the surrounding regions of Cinque Terre you can do a lot of activities or make some essential utility purchases. There are two major types of Cinque Terre cards.

1) The Cinque Terre Basic Card:

The card include:

  • Access to walking trails and picnic areas of the park;
  • Use of ecological Park buses; La Spezia city museums at reduced rates; 
  • Entrance to the Sciacchetrà Museum in  Manarola, the History Museum in  Riomaggiore and the ancient Oil Mill in Groppo; Entrance to the Virtual Aquarium in  Monterosso al Mare and the multimedia room in Levanto; Visitors access to the Anchovies Salting Centre in Monterosso al Mare;

Cinque Terre Basic Card Prices (2014): The prices to purchase a card will vary depending on how many days you would like to use the card. 

  • Cinque Terre Card Adults: € 6.00
  • Cinque Terre Card Reduced (children under 12): € 3.00
  • Cinque Terre Card Reduced (over 70s): € 4.80
  • Cinque Terre Card Family: € 15.10
  • Two Days Card Adults: € 9.70
  • Two Days Card Reduced (children under 12): € 4.80
  • Two Days Card Reduced (over 70s): € 7.90
  • Two Days Card Family: € 24.20
  • Card for groups (up to 25 people): € 105.90
  • Card for tour guides: € 4.20

Since hiking all the marvelous trails is not recommended to be done all in one day, purchasing a multiple day pass is encouraged.

2) The Cinque Terre Train Card:

With the premium card, not only can you avail all the above services and benefits, you can also take unlimited number of trains to the route of La Spezia and Levanto. Besides these there are also some other access benefits to the card holders.

Cinque Terre Train Card Prices (2014): The train pass cards also vary in pricing and again there are deals for multiple day cards since there are lots of cities to travel in between.

  • Daily "Cinque Terre Card Treno" Adults - valid for travel at any time of the day of validation until midnight: € 12.00
  • Two Days "Cinque Terre Card Treno" Adults - valid for travel at any time until midnight of the day after validation: € 23.00
  • Daily "Cinque Terre Card Treno" Children from 4 to 12 years old - valid for travel at any time of the day of validation until midnight: € 7.30
  • Daily "Cinque Terre Card Treno" Over 70s - valid for travel at any time of the day of validation until midnight: € 9.70
  • Daily "Cinque Terre Card Treno" Family (2 adults + 2 children under 12) - valid for travel at any time of the day of validation until midnight: € 31.50

Where to Buy a Cinque Terre Card:

  • Information Center by the train station in each of the five villages
  • Information Center at La Spezia Train Station
  • Piazza Garibaldi in Monterosso 

Important: It is essential that once you purchase your cards you validate them properly as each station on the hiking trails will check them. This involves filling out your full name and nationality. You will also want to validate your cards at each train station where you will find clearly marked yellow validation boxes that will stamp your card as you enter with the time, date and locale of the station you are porting.
